Questions about this list

What is Bloom Scroll?

An index of 685 videos, talks, lectures and playlists about technology, maths, science and other big ideas that people linked to each other on Reddit, each shown with the comment that mentioned it.

How were the videos chosen?

By reading 285 Reddit threads across 131 subreddits and recording the videos people linked. It is a sample, not a complete record of Reddit, and 29 off-topic links were left out.

Are the videos ranked by popularity?

No. A mention can be praise, a question or an argument, and each video’s page says which it was. Shelves show editorial starting points first.

Which videos should I watch first?

Try the 50 videos in the Essential 50, or one of the 14 learning paths, which put videos in order from basic ideas upward.

Is Bloom Scroll affiliated with Reddit or YouTube?

No. It is an independent index. Videos and thumbnails belong to the people who made them, and comments are quoted from public Reddit threads.

How current is the list?

It was last updated on 2026-11-03. Thumbnails and embedding were checked against YouTube when the site was built, but full playback was not tested, and some videos may be blocked in your region.

Can I use the list in my own project?

The full list is published as JSON at /videos.json, with titles, creators, shelves, durations, links and the Reddit threads for each entry.
